From the moment you enter the property we were thrilled with the choice. From the dedicated parking space just outside the front door to the expansive space of the loft, to the balcony connecting us to the vibe of the town, everything was perfect.

This was the first time ever I have not stayed oceanfront at SSI. I was able to plan a last minute getaway with one of my friends and we thoroughly enjoyed staying in Village Overlook. The condo was big, open and super roomy with pretty much 2 master bedrooms. Beds were super comfortable which is a must for me. Only suggestion is label the many, many light switches!

Great place. We love this condo. It is beautiful. We spent time people watching in the Village from our balcony. The location is great, close to the pier and restaurants. We will be back as soon as we can. Real Escapes customer service is wonderful. I have spoken to Julie and Mary both were great and professional. We love this location and St Simons.

We have stayed at this property twice and we love the location. It is a beautiful condo in the middle of the Village. My husband loves to sit on the balcony and people watch. It has two large bedrooms with baths and an open floor plan. There is plenty of room and the furnishing are beautiful. We have another trip planed at the end of January and we have booked this condo. We highly recommend it. The only downside for some would be there is not an elevator and you do have to navigate a flight of stairs. This is not a problem except when you are lugging your luggage up.

A Village Overlook was above expectations. This loft is very spacious and extremely clean and well-appointed. Check-in and out was easy. Loved being able to sit on the balcony each morning with coffee. Loved this place and will definitely rent again.

Extremely clean and great location!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Due to the location, it was very loud to sleep on the pull out couch in the living area. The couch desperately needs a new mattress, as it is very thin and worn. We loved the walkability of the apartment and enjoyed people watching from the balcony.

The place looks great! Very convenient to shopping and vacation sites such as pier, lighthouse, etc.

Checkin was incredibly smooth and simple. Unit is in an exceptional location, right in pier village, with a reserved parking space (although we had one poacher, briefly). Unit seems brand new and is in excellent condition. There is, predictably, some noise from the stores and bars along the street but there seems to be a noise curfew. By 1030 pm it was silent and dark. You can walk out to the pier right out your front door. Other service and shoppiong areas are an easy bike ride away.

Stayed on SSI for New Year and 47th Anniversary. Weather didn't cooperate first few days but last few was excellent.

It was a amazing place! Super fun atmosphere, clean, and a great view of the village! You can get to anywhere on the island quick. The food choices nearby was great. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely stay here again!!

This was our second time at The Loft. We love it. Enjoy sipping a glass of wine on the balcony. We will be back

Place was big, beautiful, clean and perfectly located. Would definitely stay again. Also, even though they didn't have to, the rental company went out of their way to let my wife check in early while I was in a business meeting. They were extremely nice and we were very appreciative.

We loved this condo. It was beautiful and as described. It is centrally located with a short walk to the pier and overlooking the small village at St Simons. The lighthouse is approximately a three blocks walk. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet even though it was in the village. It is on the second story with no elevator so if you have issues with stairs this could be an problem otherwise it’s a wonderful place for you visit.

We did not have WiFi when we checked in which was on a Sunday and the office was closed. Since it was not an emergency I called and left a message and Julie had taken care of the issue by the next morning by requesting a tech to check. Customer service was great.

The unit was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We had everything we could have needed.

I would highly recommend this property.

As a yearly visitor to SSI, this was my first experience with Real Escapes Properties and A Village Overlook. The location was amazing and perfect for anyone who loves to people watch. Very convenient for shopping and walking to the pier. Extremely roomy bedrooms, baths, and large walk-in closets. We had an issue with miscommunication on a broken fridge, but management followed up and made it right which I greatly appreciate. The steps up to the rental were a bit of a challenge while we were unloading our luggage so if you have any issues with steps, this might not be for you. We did have some spotty internet throughout our stay, but wasn't terrible as we barely needed access to it. The wall of doors that lead out to the veranda had a few issues staying closed and we FINALLY figured out the correct way to lock them on our last night (Lift up the handle while locking). There is one parking space reserved for the rental, but parking spots on Mallery Street are usually available in case you need to bring more than one vehicle. Overall a very modern, clean and SPACIOUS rental with a few hiccups that were resolved quickly. It is quite a gem for it's location and I would highly recommend!

What a beautiful property! We have been to St Simons numerous times and always stay in the village area. This loft is spectacular, and the location was perfect for us. I hope we can stay there again sometime.

The condo is fantastic and is huge. Our favorite part was sitting out on the balcony people watching. This is one of our favorite places we've stayed in Saint Simons. We will definitely be staying here again.

The property was clean, well appointed, and nicely decorated. The view of the village was excellent and the location was outstanding. Having a close designated parking spot was also a nice perk. We enjoyed our stay very much.

One of those rare experiences where the accommodations are better than the pictures online. Great space for entertaining. Clean with all the amenities and super comfy beds and luxurious towels! Real Escapes made sure our stay went off without a hitch.

This is an excellent location and a great property. Much larger inside than I expected. Have been to SSI a dozen times over 30 years but never stayed in village area. Easy access to pier, beach and bars. View from balcony down Mallery street makes you feel like part of the action. It was very enjoyable.

This property is in the heart of St. Simons village. It’s much larger that expected, clean and comfortable.
We had no issues with the stairs, like some people had posted, and the parking pass was a huge bonus.

The property was absolutely beautiful! Clean, quiet and conveniently located near dozens of shops and restaurants. Within walking distance to the pier and just a 5 min drive to local beaches. Loved coming home to our assigned parking spot right next to the building as the downtown area can get pretty busy during the day. Enjoyed having coffee on the balcony every morning. The loft was equipped with everything we needed for a 4 night stay. We will definitely be back!

Lovely condo. Very well maintained. Two drawbacks-noise from the street late at night, cars with loud stereos. The stairs were a challenge. That should be noted on the description of the property. Though we really liked the condo we would not stay there again for those reasons. Loved St Simon's.

Amazing space in heart of village.

This property turned out to be perfect for a long weekend. It is right in the middle of the restaurant/shopping district and an easy walk down to the pier and lighthouse.

Loved returning each evening to this wonderfully fun (and super clean) loft space located in the center of St Simon's Island's shopping and restaurant district. Lots of living space and comfortable beds, as well as a well stocked kitchen. Keep in mind there are many steps to the unit. But once there, it's the perfect place to call home while visiting the Golden Isles. And working with Real Escapes Properties was a breeze!

We were so happy to find the loft lived up to our expectations. It will definitely be our go to destination when staying on St. Simons Island.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Location was perfect and in the middle of many shops and restaurants were very walkable. If you need to drive somewhere you don't have to worry about because you you get your own reserved parking just off the main strip. Inside was modeled nicely and super spacious. The only con of the property was that I couldn't get the balcony doors to lock. Would recommend staying here in a heart beat.

Amazing location and beautiful place to stay.

This condo was a great place from which to enjoy all the fun the Pier Village has to offer. The balcony was a perfect place to people-watch! The location was within walking distance to shops & restaurants and only a very short drive (or bike ride) to the beautiful beaches of SSI. It was clean and well equipped and the decor was very nice. My only caveat would be that if you have a difficult time navigating stairs this is not the place for you as there is a hefty climb to get to the front door. Other than that, I would definitely recommend!

The village loft was very nice. The open living area space completely makes this rental. The decor was extremely inviting and nicely furnished for your stay. The balcony was the highlight of our weekend, great views; and walking distance around the village area.

Everything was perfect about this property, the location, the space, the cleanliness, super comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen! We have zero complaints and would highly recommend this property for your St. Simons Vacation!

This was our third stay at this property. Everything was the same as before. It’s a great location for our needs. However; Most of the blinds in the living room are inoperable and have been that way for years. It would be nice to be able to open them up next time we stay here. The kitchen is great with a lot of stainless but the stainless hasn’t been cleaned well and it shows. I opened the silverware drawer only one time and saw a live roach. We brought plastic ware so I just closed the drawer and didn’t see any more roaches. The place was very dusty and it turns out that the AC filter had not been changed in many months so that’s no surprise. There was AC issues but they were handled well by Real Escapes with very little hassle for us. I wish my review could have been better but that was our experience this visit. We plan to be back and I hope to have better things to report next time. We love the Island and Real Escapes has been taking care of us for years at various properties.

This loft is absolutely wonderful. Two great en-suite bedrooms plus exceptional open living area makes this rental one that we come back to over and over. Tastefully decorated and furnished with all you need for your stay. The balcony is great for watching all the excitement of the Village. If steps are a problem, this one is not for you, lots of steps with no elevator.

We loved staying here. Had lots of room and everything was just as we were told it would be. Enjoyed having coffee each morning in the balcony and throughout the day. So nice to be in the village and a short walk to the pier. Hope to return for another visit.

We were anticipating that we would love this property located in SSI village but had no idea how much we would love it! The location is absolutely perfect. We loved having our coffee on the patio in the morning while watching the people either coming downtown to have breakfast or getting in their morning exercise. Likewise, we loved having our evening wine on the patio watching all the activity below. The size of the condo cannot be imagined--you have to see it. I had no idea there would be so much room. I love the open floor plan of the kitchen and living area and the bedrooms are so large we had a hard time figuring out which would be "the master". It is simply yet tastefully decorated.The only problem really was the parking. It was impossible to keep people from parking in the spot that was clearly marked for people staying in A Village Overlook. We remedied this some by placing a bucket with a piece of pipe sticking out of it in the parking space. I would recommend getting pylons that can be put in the spot when you leave. We had a baby with us for a few days and it isn't really baby friendly with the few steps that go down to the living area from the kitchen--but we will most definitely be back if we travel without the grandbabies. Love this property!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this amazing condo right in the heart of the action. This condo was beautiful and had an amazing balcony where we could people watch and enjoy a glass of wine! Excellent restaurants were within walking distance and the pier was also close! We highly recommend eating at the Georgia Sea Grill - 5* as the food was amazing! We also ate at Iguana's, which was mostly shrimp dishes 4*, and Brogens near the pier, which was really good as well 4*. The beach was about a 1/4 mile away and an easy walk! The condo was huge with two king beds! The only thing I would have wished was that there were room darkening shades in the back bedroom as the sun came up there and it was soooooo bright even with the blinds closed! If you are staying here bring a sleeping mask! LOL

Great place in center of village. Tons of room and very comfortable. Easy walk to everything. Apartment was furnished with high end amenities. Assigned private park space. Only negative, on a few occasions the assigned parking space was used by the public. Overall rate A+.

The rental experience with Real Escapes Properties was extremely easy. The unit was clean and ready when we arrived. The staff at Real Escapes were ready for us when we arrived and checked us into the unit very quickly. The Staff did advise us of some minor water damage in the unit and they were trying to get it fixed. I will use Real Escapes Properties again in the future.

We have always stayed in a resort at the beach, but wanted to try something different. This ended up being one of my favorite rentals. I loved how close it was to everything. It was spacious and clean. My family would definitely stay here again.

What a special place. We had never been to st. Simon's before and were so pleased with our rental. It is a small island with not a lot going on so being in town center was key for us. It was quiet yet we could watch the hustle and bustle of the town from our porch as we wanted to.

Fantastic. The loft was incredible. The photos do the loft justice. The balcony give great view of the village. Bonus for us, we were there on the 4th of July and watched the golf cart parade from the balcony. Best seats in the house!

Awesome, seamless rental for may long-term stay.

We were very fortunate to have found this amazing loft. It is so very spacious and beautifully decorated. This is the first year that we have not been ocean front and thought that we would miss the view. However, the ocean is only a short block from the front door and the experiemce of living over "main street" was so entertaining. We look forward to returning next year and were very impressed with the response that we had from the property managers.

Village Overlook is a great place to relax. No other property on St. Simons has a view that overlooks the village. I would highly recommend to any who wants to relax but who also wants to be within walking distance of all of the hottest restaurants. This place is a jewel!

We enjoyed our stay in the Village very much. Loved the balcony experience, looking over Mallory St. Only thing that could have made the stay any better would have been an elevator going up to the apartment. Everything else about the apartment was outstanding! We loved it!

This place was great. Its right in the middle of the village/pier area surrounded by restaurants and shops. It was well equipped and decorated. Be ready for a workout. There are 21 stairs to climb getting in or out.

We were so happy with the condo we stayed in while on vacation in St. Simons! It was in such a great location and within walking distance to some awesome restaurants, shops, the beach and sights to see! We really didn't need to move our car too much at all. The condo was very spacious, well maintained and spotless! The kitchen was well equipped for us to make breakfast and dinner on a few nights while we were there. We even baked some cookies during a late afternoon rain shower. We definitely will be back!
