Slack Tide Cottage

This was my first time on SSI. We greatly appreciate all the supplies in the house such as chairs, umbrellas, sand castle buckets. Every item we could imagine needing we found easily in the house. Everyone on the island is so kind. We enjoyed all the places we visited. Wonderful food choices.

We stay here every year and it remains a great escape for us! It is conveniently located to the beach, stores, and restaurants. it is always clean, well-stocked and comfortable. Slack Tide Cottage is really well-suited for our dogs. We'll be back!

Great location easy walk to the beach or restaurants. House is super clean and has a great fenced in backyard for your dog beautiful landscaping and although there is only one bathroom it’s big and there’s a huge outdoor shower that we love. Great value for the money.

As usual had an amazing experience with Real Escape Properties! Finanvially reasonable, beautifully maintained home and very esponsive.

All driving directions - extremely good! Recommendations for restaurants and activities (play, arts & crafts festival) very enjoyable. Appreciate the supplies in the cottage! Also appreciate furniture coverings for the dogs! Love the fenced back yard and being able to bring dogs.

Traveled with my wife, 2 daughters, and 12 year old labradoodle. We have stayed this property before but it has been a couple years. The location is very centralized and a relatively short walk to Myrtle Street beach access. House is well stocked and in great condition. Only negative was the cleaning company - the dishes in the dishwasher were not clean upon arrival. And behind the door in one of the bathrooms there was a considerable amount of dirt. None of this was a big deal but I did provide feedback to the property management company to address with their cleaning contractor which they were adamant they would do. Either way this property is a great value and I would and likely will stay here again. Thanks!

We come back every year to this house - it is so cute, a short walk to the beach, close to the village, and has everything we could ever need in the kitchen. It always has tons of towels and supplies for the beach and has a great set up for dogs!

Our family had 2 houses close to each other for the weekend to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. We were within walking distance to our chosen restaurants. The golf cart was really fun. Both homes were just what we expected, very clean. Staff were very hospitable and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at Slack Tide Cottage. The staff at Real Escapes made this quick trip possible by communicating well with us about check in and other policies. We will definitely use you again on upcoming trips to SSI.

Thank you as always for making our rental experience a great one! We have traveled to SSI for years and have used other property management companies - however - Real Escapes tends to be our "go to"! This property was perfect for my husband and I - we loved it so much (for many reasons) that we already booked it for our 2023 visit!

Great house and especially great backyard and outdoor shower. Pet friendly, fenced nicely landscaped back yard with a great grill and accessories. Inside has 2 big bedrooms and a large bath. Place was absolutely spotless and has a new refrigerator which replaced one of the only things I could criticize.Ready to book my stay for next year.

Spacious dog friendly rental in quiet community. Home was clean, big fence in yard that felt very private, good fridge, huge tv and easy for us to settle in like home. There is a part of the fence that is low if you have dogs that jump over fences. We blocked off that area with their outdoor furniture. I would suggest maintenance look at the bed in master as the bedfrane/floor slopes downward towards the headboard. But we slept the opposite way and bed was very comfy. Brewery and restaurants nearby if you didn't feel like walking into town. But that walk to town was nice and easy. Rental company was very easy to work with and accomodating. We already rebooked and would definitely recommend the company and the rental home.

Our stay was excellent and the accommodations couldn’t be better with a location so close to the beach and local restaurants. The cottage was very well kept and extremely comfortable. We really liked the front porch rocking chairs. Overall we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay to enjoy the beach and restaurants nearby.

Really enjoyed our stay at Slack Tide Cottage. The property was clean and well maintained. This rental was so well equipped we didn’t want for anything. The location was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

This is such a cute house! We had everything we needed and it was a close walk to the beach and pier. It was so nice that they had beach chairs and towels available to use!

Perfect cottage for our first stay in SSI. CLEAN! Within walking distance to the beach. Loved the outdoor shower. Kitchen had everything. Appreciated the boogie boards for the kids!

Had a great stay. The cottage had all the conveniences we could need and then an excellent location. Close walking to the beach and crab trap restaurant. Comfortable beds. Comfortable family room and relaxing front porch. Cute quaint neighborhood.

The location is amazing - we walked to the beach, the pier, and to the strip of restaurants each day. Such a short and easy walk! We also were only 1-2 miles to Wake Up coffee which we loved - we would run there and walk back! This is a great house to be able to have any type of vacation you'd like, whether it be active or more relaxed! We also love the outdoor shower. The home is also great and has all the necessities. The house is also very clean. THe only thing that I would mention is the beds seem to have broken slats underneath the mattress which can lead to a less comfortable sleep.

House is larger than it looks has 2 large bedrooms with great beds and the bathroom is large with a double vanity and nice shower. The backyard is beautifully landscaped and fenced in for your dog and there is a nice private outdoor shower. A short walk to the beach and very reasonable price. We plan to stay here at least once every year.

Slack Tide is more of a guest cottage than a rental. We had a wonderful time with our dog and two grand dogs. The special touches for pets were much appreciated. The outdoor shower was great for people and pets. I hope to return soon.

The location was nice and the interior was tidy but it smelled terribly. I wrote this review on the VRBO app about the property after the stay and the review was removed.

Had some issues with construction next door and there not being any lights outback. Other than that me and the dogs loved it

Very exceptional accomodations! Fully stocked with sheets, towels, chairs-all top of the line! We had a blast and all the extras for our fur babies as well. Everything was perfect. Thanks for checking in on us as well. You guys really know how to make a vacation special!

My first time to SSI. Absolutely fell in love with the area. The rental house was great! Everything we needed and high-end linens/towels. Great back yard and very pet friendly. Would definitely rent this property again...
