Belle Cottage – walk to Gould’s Inlet on St. Simons Island
Real Escapes Properties is proud to offer Belle Cottage located on 15th street in the East Beach neighborhood on St. Simons Island. This fabulous 6 bedroom, 4.5 bath, 3,200 square feet beach house was moved to its current location over fifty years ago and was carefully and lovingly restored a few years back.
Belle Cottage places you half a block from the Gould’s Inlet beach access. Gould’s Inlet is well known for great beach access, fishing and kayaking.
Once you enter this well-appointed home, you slip directly into the cozy living room with a fireplace and large flat screen TV. This leads in to the chef’s kitchen and dining area. There is a half bath off the kitchen and a walk-in pantry. Past the kitchen on the main floor there is the first master bedroom with a King bed, TV and spacious master bathroom with a walk-in glass shower and a Jacuzzi tub and double vanities. Off of this bedroom there are also doors leading out to the pool area. The second master is also located off of the kitchen and has a king bed, TV, and full bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
Upstairs there are 4 additional bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The first bedroom to the left has 2 twin beds and a TV with a Jack-n-Jill bath leading to another bedroom with a queen bed that also has a TV. The other 2 bedrooms both have queen beds, one of which has a TV and they also share a Jack-n-Jill bath.
The exceptional ambiance of this home continues in the back yard with the hot tub pool combo and an ample amount of patio seating for family and friends.

Minimum age to rent is 25. This applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

Belle Cottage was the perfect house in the perfect location for our family of eleven to enjoy our summer vacation on St. Simons Island. The house gave us plenty of room to spread out and relax. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The location was very quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to the village for easy access to shopping and restaurants. The beach at Gould's Inlet is a very short walk from Belle Cottage! The folks at Real Escapes Properties were very quick and kind in responding to our questions. The house was very clean. We cannot say enough good things about this vacation rental!

We really enjoyed staying at Belle Cottage. It was nice that the home sat on the ground so there weren't as many steps! It was very clean and comfortable, and very quiet. So easy to get to the inlet and we felt very safe in the community.
A couple of notes: the stove in the island does not work- doesn't seem to be connected to electricity. The door frames around the knobs of the exit doors need cleaned desparately- they are black with finger prints. The front porch left door doesn't always latch even when locked- it was open when we arrived on Saturday.
There needs to be a special small eyeglass screwdriver somewhere in the house that is noted for when the doors upstairs get locked and shut by children.
The spa doesn't get very hot, which was misleading maybe?
Also, I DESPERATELY want to know what kind of mattress the big master bedroom has, specifically the pillow top AND also the duvet comforter and pillows. I was in heaven in that bed- it was a dream!! I want to know what material is in those pillows and comforter please!!!!

This is our second year at this home and it’s always a great place to stay. Beds are comfortable, house is clean, great location. The hot tub wasn’t working, which was a bummer, but they were aware of the problem and waiting on a part for it to be fixed.

We had a great week with our 2 sons and their families-11 persons total. The pool was great and a big hit for the kids. We enjoyed the beach and biking the trails. The beach access was a half block away and was great for kayaking and beach activities. The bike trail was a half block away and there were many bike trails leading all over the island.Check-in and check-out was very convenient. The house was great and in good condition. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The master suite on the first floor was very nice.

This home is beautifully decorated and very spacious, located on a quiet street only 1/2 block from the Gould's Inlet beach. Great for our family of 5 kids and 2 parents. The pool was an added luxury! Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't operational, but we spoke with the pool service guy and he said the part was on order, so maybe that is solved. We had a misunderstanding about the garbage service (you have to move the cans to the curb!), but called Real Escapes and they quickly set us straight. We rented bikes and were able to ride the path all the way into town. We enjoyed dining at the Crab Trap, Barbara Jeans and the Red Barn. One other note: often rental places have threadbare sheets and towels... the ones provided here were not that way. Very fluffy and plenty of them! I hope we have a chance to return to this lovely home again!

Each year our family of women-aunts and nieces get away during Labor Day weekend to reconnect and spend time together as our Grandmother taught us to do. This year was our first year in St. Simons and it did not disappoint! We didn't allow the threat of Hurricane Dorian to dissuade us from coming. We enjoyed learning about the history of the island from our tour guide. We enjoyed walks on the beach and spent quite a bit of time in the pool and hot tub. The house was large enough for our group of 11. The kitchen was fully equipped where we cooked breakfast and could make adult beverages to enjoy. We played games in the spacious living room. I actually slept on one of the twin beds, which normally is not that comfortable, but actually was. The only area of improvement I would suggest is a thorough cleaning. There was some dust and scuff marks throughout the house. It has quite a bit of charm and a thorough cleaning & some paint touch up would help it really shine and pop for visitors.

We rented Belle Cottage for a family Girls weekend. There were 9 of us. We had plenty of room and everyone had so much space to spread out. The Kitchen was fabulous because we could all sit around the table and talk. Plenty of bathrooms for everyone and the pool with hot tub was fantastic. This is a great home with all the amenities. Real Escape Properties were great to work with and very accomodating.

We have 10 in our extended family, and the house had plenty of room for everyone. No one felt crowded at all. The pool is wonderful! Our only disappointment was the change in the beach near that house. A deep tidal pool has been created in the last few months that requires one to cross it to get to the actual beach. I don't know if that is a permanent thing or not. If the wooden bridge were extended, it would allow folks to walk across it to the beach.

Any little maintenance problems, they were quick to take care of..... Example: after a brief storm debris filled the pool and pool company was there immediately after request. For the third year my family of 16 has enjoyed our stay in Belle Cottage. Our three children, spouses and eight grandkids gather on St Simons each June. The location of the cottage is wonderful; the pool is great! As our little ones grow bigger we may have to look to a larger property but we will always remember Belle Cottage.
This is the 2nd time we have rented this house. We love it. There were 8 of us this past weekend. It has everything and plenty of room to spread out.
