Unit was very clean.

Everyone loved the space and it is in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and sidewalks for walking into town.

Overall we loved our stay. The unit was as described, very clean, and well maintained. 109 is on a second level but there is an elevator. The elevator is small and no air conditioning. It can be slow. 109 is close to the pool. The residents were nice and helpful.

The kitchen is well stocked with basic cooking needs.
The complex is well maintained and clean. The pool area was nice and the pool is salt.

Access to the beach: the condo does have beach access but there is a walk to get to the beach. Make sure you remember where you come out on the beach or you will miss the path on your return.

Parking: covered parking is very tight. If you are driving a midsize to large vehicle don’t try it. Park in the parking. There are 2 buildings with no unit signage. 109 is the right building (facing the buildings)

The real estate agency handling this unit was awesome. Great communication. We received a call the day of arrival letting us know we could check-in early.

Access to area attractions: short drive to lighthouse and village. St Simons is golf cart friendly.

The condo was perfect. The kitchen was well stock and the entire condo was spotlless.

The location was good. We met the owners and they were very nice. The condo had some stains on the carpet and the dishwasher was falling out when you opened the door. Coffee pot lids were broken but still usable. A few updates and it would be great. Price was good though and maybe reflected these issues.

We had a wonderful time on the East Beach. Tye apartment was clean, and the location (and weather) were idesl.

Condo and pool nice. Coffee pot broken, be careful of steam burns. TV in master never worked. Reported and after repeated calls told maintenance had been in condo and couldn't fix. They came in without letting us know, didn't fix and didn't communicate at all. Beach access was very deceiving. It was quicker to load up and go to public beach than to get to condo beach area. Had to walk through dunes, sea grass and standing water to get to ocean. The mosquitoes were so bad my husband and I both had over 30 bites on us. Really big mosquitoes! They can not control nature, but full disclosure in description would have been appropriate. We probably would still have rented, but would have been better prepared. My mom was with us and there is NO handicap beach access from condo. Location to public beach was good as long as you know what you are getting.

This condo is perfect for someone who wants an easy, convenient stay on St. Simon's. Private beach access and easy to access condos that are CLEAN and well-maintained. We'd stay here again in the future for sure!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was extremely clean, and exactly as described. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The king headboard did have a squeak when you moved around. The pool area was very nice and uncrowded. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the distance to the beach. It was a pretty good walk to get there! Overall, it was a very nice and comfortable place, and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others!

We truly enjoyed this little condo. Nicely decorated with all the necessities. Great beach access.

The location was wonderful for enjoying the beach all day, the rooms were well furnished, kitchen had everything you need to cook with. View from 3ed floor staircase was amazing at sunrise. Everything was clean, people were friendly. I will definitely be back soon.

Clean but needs some basic improvements like paint, rugs, porch mat, ironing board, bed pillows.

Great Location. Walking or biking distance to most restaurants and bars. However, the patio railing, and a great deal of the patio surface area were covered with a green mossy like growth, black mold on the bottom of the shower curtains. Was more concerned with catching a disease/infection from the mold than catching COVID.

Additionally, the unit has two sliders to the patio, one from the living room, the other from the master bedroom. Both sliders need to be replaced. They don't lock and are "milk white" from broken window seals.

The great location, however, overcame the unit's limitations. We had a great time while on St. Simons.

My husband and I took two of our grandchildren to St. Simon's in early September and rented this condo. It was well equipped, comfortable and great amenities with the pool and beach so convenient!

Had a blast. Room was small but comfortable with two adults and three young children. Spent most of the time at the pool or on the beach. Definitely recommend this place for a family or couples vacation!

Good location, short walk to the beach. All the amenities we needed.

We were very pleased with our rental condo on St. Simons Island, GA. We booked it online, sight unseen. We were extremely pleased with the condition of the condo and the location. It was clean and comfortable and was perfect for the two of us. The beach was just beyond the back yard and the village and pier were maybe 5 minutes away by car.

The through rug in the living room was a disaster. It kept on buching up. it needs to be replaced.

This was our second year at Shipwatch, but the first year at #109. The location is perfect, just a quick walk to the sand and Atlantic Ocean—no need to drive and park!
The condo was decorated to our liking—beach, but not over the top. It is rather small and question having an occupancy of 6 persons. The storage space in the kitchen was a bit of a problem. That being said, the kitchen did have everything necessary to cook meals.
It is great and meets our needs.

This is our 2nd year staying at this location & we love it! Great place.

Property was updated since my stay last year with new floors, shower reno, painting and new couch and chairs. All these were nicely done. Given its location on the first floor it is cold in the winter with the heating system quite loud drowning out conversations when running. Since this is on the north side it is colder in the winter as the sun does not shine in but cooler in the summer. This is my last year here as they no longer take pets and I found a much nicer place for next year. Real Escapes is good to deal with.

Hi, per usual, everything went well for my stay at Shipwatch. Also per usual, there was not enough toilet paper and a lot of the light bulbs were burned out.

Place was fantastic & rental company was great to work with! Highly recommend both.

Nice place in need of an update which I understand has been scheduled. Excellent location and Real Escapes is a good realtor and property manager. I plan to be back next year and hopefully enjoying the update. Shipwatch is a good location and has excellent access to the beach.

Generally good, realtor very responsive, coming back next year with my new pooch. Owner is committed to enhancing the property even more.

We have stayed at Shipwatch before and had a great experience, however, unit 109 was a big disappointment. The a/c wasn't working when we arrived. Maintenance was able to fix it by noon the next day. At least 3 bulbs in different light fixtures were burned out. 1 bulb in the bathroom fell out of the fixture while we were gone and shattered all over. The decor throughout the unit was very dated, stained in places, and the beds were uncomfortable. There was black mold growing around the air vents. The white curtains in the bedroom did not keep out the very bright sunlight. We had to hang black plastic bags over them to try to sleep past 6 AM.
The management was great and I would stay with them again, just not in this unit. Positives were the location, quietness, and the beach.

Had a noisy gal on a nearby balcony bitching and moaning, cursing at multiple hours of the day. She was loud and obnoxious, and also claimed to be a drug addict and had friends who came over who were also addicts (her loud and obnoxious balcony phone conversations made it known to all the tenants). This is not the kind of place I would stay again if drug addicts stay here...

We always enjoy staying at Ship Watch.

We've used real escapes in the past for vacation but this was the first time my fianc and I had personally. Great customer service at the office. Reasonable check in and out times. Everything at Ship Watch was great, as usual. Room was up to date and very clean, WiFi was good, pool wasnt very big but clean. Nice dog walk area and most importantly in St Simons, on the beach.

This was our second stay at the Shipwatch St. Simons Island, and we absolutely loved the experience.

Had a great time on a spur of the moment trip to St. Simon's which remains one of our favorite beaches. We especially enjoyed our pet friendly unit, the design of the complex, and its proximity to the beach. The grounds were beautifully maintained and there was a minimum amount of outside noise. Although there seemed to be very few people there, everyone we met was pleasant. We hope to return to Shipwatch.

Shipwatch 109 has nicer furniture than some of the other Shipwatch units and is conveniently located near the elavator.

We had another great visit on SSI. Shipwatch location is great. It is a bit dated and could use some general upgrades but, perfectly adequate for an affordable vacation. Balcony could use some attention; screen door would not stay on track and furniture negelected out there. Everything on the balcony was COVERED in cat hair. We'll plan to return next year!

Shipwatch 109 felt like I was staying at home with the exception of a beach in my backyard. It was very clean and I had no issues. I would definately stay here again.

One problem previously forgotten: the King bedspread is about one foot too wide, a hazard for older persons. Otherwise, all was well.

I loved that this location is just steps away from the beach. Shipwatch is safe and convenient to everything...and has everything you need for a relaxing beach getaway!
