Beach House

After not having a vacation for three years and then recently having hip surgery, I needed a place for some R&R. The spot was perfect. It had a beach cart all the beach chairs, and needs and only a block away from the beach nice off-street parking wonderful porches.

It was clean charming and very well located to the beach. I especially loved bicycle around the quiet streets. The house was so comfortable; loved the front porch!

One Pgh couple and I shared this lovely home for a relaxing week.
SSI has been my special place for years. We hope to return soon. Mary and Tully are tops.

The house was perfect for two couples. Clean and comfortable. Nicely furnished. Kitchen was great. Also a nice, big front porch for seeing morning sunrises with a cup of coffee in hand. We would recommend this place.

We loved the lay out of this cottage. It was in a perfect location and comfortable for two couples. We spent a lot of time on the front porch! I do think the bedrooms and baths could use a little TLC. They looked a little tired and I don't imagine the linen comforter is cleaned after every guest. The dishwasher had mold inside and needed a good cleaning. None of these things stopped us from rebooking next year!

This was our second stay at The Beach House. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is ideal for walking to the beach. We enjoy the two porches for morning coffee, reading or dining outside. The kitchen could use a little TLC but the house is furnished comfortably and we plan to make a return stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Beach House. It provided us with a time of reflection and relaxation. My sister passed away 5 days prior to our trip to
St.Simons. The Beach House gave us a sense of peace and tranquility during our time of loss.
We plan on returning to the Beach House in the spring, because our stay was gave us such a warm experience.

The Beach House is perfect for two couples to get together for good times. There is a big dining table for fabulous meals and a warm living room for after dinner drinks. A big front porch for morning coffee is tops. With two full baths, the house works very well for two couples. One bedroom has a back porch. We just love the place.

Very nice stay. Had a minor issue with A/C however the property management team took care of it very quickly.
House was clean and well maintained however the yard and landscaping needed some work. Brushes were overgrown and grass needed to be cut.

Great shady location near the beach with terrific porches front and back. A short ride to most everywhere on the island.

Management company was very accommodating and easy to work with.

We couldn't have chose a better place for our stay on Saint Simons. The house is comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the beach access on 8th is lovely and easy.

It was so warm and welcoming. Very thoughtful in the way it was furnished. All needs were attended to!! We would love to return to this fabulous rental.

Loved this cottage. Was clean, cozy and near the beach. They had the basics covered as far as a well stocked kitchen, beach towels, chairs and even a cart to carry it all with you. We arrived after hours and check in was easy. One of the bath tubs had a pretty significant leak which needs repair, we made manager aware. Would definitely return. Love the East Beach neighboorhood.

Monday- Friday There were times we could not bear the work noise outside on porches. Hard with an infant sleeping.

We stayed here for my wife's birthday and it was perfect! Clean, spacious, quiet, and close to the beach.

St. Simon's was such a great place, made even better with this great house. Short distance to the beach, each to bike everywhere!

Awesome getaway, loved the privacy and proximity to the beach, far away from the crowds (especially in these times!).

Only issue was with the main entry and interiors door locks which would not lock. Other than that it was perfect!! We will be coming back again for a longer stay for sure!

It was excellent. We enjoyed everything about the house and location.

Wonderful. Loved the house and the location. Our only negative comments would be that the living room furniture was very worn and uncomfortable. Also the linens were pretty bad. If those two things were corrected it would make the house perfect. Also i would recommend cleaning the rugs.

Island different for each individual. For us, it is having a general idea of what we would like to do – but no specific deadlines. It is coffee on the porch in the morning or that special drink with friends watching folks stroll up and down Bruce. It is also walking the beach, fishing, and great food from all the many top-notch restaurants on the island. The Beach House has become our favorite home base when we are on Island Time.

We're a corporate couple who enjoy relaxation without crowds especially on St. Simons Island. The Beach House is a perfect getaway where we can call it our 'home' when we're away from our real home in northeast Florida.

We loved the house but we do have one suggestion. The lock on the front door needs to be replaced. We struggled to both lock and unlock the door.
I suggest a day visit to Jekyll Island .

We stayed at the Beach House for 3 weeks. It was perfect for us. The house itself was comfortable and well layed out. The porches were our favorite. It is well located. We enjoyed its proximity to the marsh, the inlet and the Beach.

We love this house! Its the perfect size for our family of 5! Lots of light, love the front porch and the location. We used the beach chairs and coolers they had.

Great location and overall nice property. Only problem was the cable service... very few channels available... No sports channels... no news channels... below " basic" service....would not recommend unless cable upgraded.

My hubby and I have stayed here several times, and we highly recommend it and the management company. The only negative is the furniture in the living area, which is 1970's style and not very comfortable at all--that's why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, the house is well stocked and an especially nice feature besides the open living space is the front porch. We've always had excellent service with Real Escapes and any slight problem has been immediately addressed, which is not always typical of some of the other rental agencies on St. Simon's.

House was clean and as it should be. It was our second stay here and was enjoyable.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this house, which reflects our satisfaction with how the house is maintained and especially its location on East Beach--very easy to walk to the beach. It's well stocked for a rental, very clean, comfortable, and airy. If you don't have needs for a larger house (only 2 bedrooms), it's an excellent rental. Front porch is delightful place to hang out.

I enjoyed my stay at the Beach House and felt right at home! Perfect get away with the beach just a short walk away.

Wewere very happy with the house, how open it felt with a lot of light, and the location was perfect for us. Only thing that could be improved is better kitchen knives for preparing food. If you're a cook, bring your own!! Definitely would stay there again

We had the house for a week, and found it to be a terrific property - great East Beach location, very nicely decorated and clean - would definitely stay there again!

We have stayed at this house on prior vacations and love the house as well as the location. I say "almost perfect" because we have more people wanting to vacation with us and may be needing a larger place. I wonder if the owners would add some rooms for us?

Renting was easy. They worked with us to allow a two night rental with an additional cleaning fee and then worked with us again when we decided to stay a third night by just paying the difference between the cleaning fee and another night's rent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was in a great location with easy access to the beach.

There was not a remote with the DVD player. MGT sent someone out with a universal remote. Could not use DVD player. We bought one and brought it home with us.
Overall, it was a good house and we will be back!!

This was our first trip to St Simons Island and we loved everything about the long weekend there. The Beach House was so comfortable we were content relaxing on the front porch reading and playing games. The beauty of the island made morning runs pleasant
and strolls on the beach serene!

Great house in a wonderful location. All the major needs are more than covered. The only things lacking are wireless internet - everyone travels with a laptop and taking turns on a wired hook up is very inconvenient, and the kitchen could use some updating on pots, pans & glassware. Other than those 2 things we really enjoyed this house.

Disappointed the bike wasn't there but great house.

We would highly recommend The Beach House in St. Simons Island. The location was in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The house was comfortable, clean, and perfect for our use. We even used the bicycles that were on the back porch to tour the island. Enjoy your stay!

Somewhat disappointed in the beach access. This was out first trip to St. Simons in many years and I did not remember that the beach access was so difficult. Would have liked to move the house we were in closer to the beach.

We had a great time escaping to the beach house for a long weekend! It was so relaxing. We really enjoyed all the little extras (board games, beach equipment, towels etc.). It was nice not to have to bring our own beach toys and chairs. We played monopoly on the back porch in the evenings and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable. We will be back! Thank you!
