Harbor Light at the Beach

2nd annual girls trip. We enjoyed the beautiful home and the kitchen renovation!!!! We enjoyed the shops, local eateries, walks to the beach, the lighthouse and even lucked out and we're able to attend the Shrimp and Grits festival in Jekyll Island.

Check in was smooth. We loved the willingness of the staff to share the map of the island and recommend restaurants. The house was very well appointed & comfortable. We spent so much time eating, laughing and playing games around the massive kitchen island.

The kitchen is huge and newly remodeled. The upstairs area is great and the outside area is more useful that it appears. Location is good. We rented a golf cart and used the public parking for the beach about 3 blocks away but you can go down the 4th street access then cut over to the 3rd street access (4th isn't assessable to the beach any longer) and go to a more private area of the beach. Also 5th street is fully accessible by golf cart with parking. The Village is about a 5 minute drive so we used the golf cart for that also.

So spacious with plenty of room and beds for 8 adults. We loved the outdoor shower, being able to walk to the beach. The front porch was great for sitting.

It was outstanding. The house is very nice on the inside; the decor is lovely. The front porch is great for relaxing. East Beach is my favorite part of the island.

Our group of 9 truly enjoyed our stay at Harbor Light. The upstairs loft was very spacious, (the pictures don't do it justice!) We had 5 grown teenage guys stay up there with a bed for each, as well as a bathroom for them. Everything was very close, including the great beach.

it was wonderful! The house was perfect for our 12 people! I would stay there again...The porch in the early morning and evening were perfect!

Loved this house in every way. A well-stocked kitchen and comfortable furnishings made it seem like home, but the art and historical decor helped us fall in love with beautiful Saint Simons Island. Plenty of space on the first floor for 5 adults, but wished we had some children along to make use of the cozy bunk room upstairs! House is located in a very comfortable neighborhood for relaxing on the porch or walking around. Can't wait to come back!

This charming house had more than enough room for 2 families. The decor and history sprinkled throughout the house made it feel so special.

This was a great cottage with lots of room close to East Beach. There were some pest issues but the company was very responsive to treating that issue to prevent it in the future. Parking is ample and easy and the home was well-equipped for a large group of 10-12 people. I recommend it.

The little house is great! The place is located in a quiet neighborhood on a beautiful natural beach filled with friendly people. The house felt loved in and was very well equipped and comfortable. At the end of our trip we accidentally left an important personal item at the room. The rental staff individual I spoke with personally went and found the item and mailed it to me. That little anecdote should tell you what you need to know about their customer service!

We love this house. I’ve stayed there twice this year and have booked it again for next summer. It has lots of room for adults and plenty of children. The kitchen is small but the rest of the living space has plenty of room for a large family.

The home was perfect! So accommodating!!

We adored this property. The home was spotless, and there was plenty of space to spread out. Neighbors were friendly and the walk to the beach is beautiful. Would certainly stay here again!

This is a great home, close to the beach and time to recharge. There is plenty of space inside - the kids loved the room upstairs. Great, well stocked kitchen.

Everything else was perfect. Very comfortable beds and plenty of space to relax. Beautiful walk to the beach, we even saw rabbits and beautiful birds to enjoy on the way. We will be retuning soon!

Home is lovely. We will definitely be coming back to St. Simons Island.

It was a pleasant stay.
I would suggest the purchase of a Keurig coffemaker.
The TV process was cumbersome and very limited as to selection of items to watch. We spent most of the time looking for something to watch. The process was cumbersome. The house was clean and comfortable.
However, the shower curtain liner should be replaced in the main shower. All in all the house was adequately stocked and comfortable.

We had a great family trip! My family of 4 had plenty of room upstairs!! Super close to the beach. We loved it and you would too!!

Harbor Light is a welcoming, comfortable beach house - close to the beach access and well-situated in the less-crowded East Beach area of SSI. Massive upstairs bunk area with lots of beds for kids!

Unfortunately we had a lot of rain from a tropical storm but we’re still able to spend a little time on the beach Saturday and Monday. Sunday was pretty much a wash out. Since we live in Richmond Hill, GA we were able to bring our golf cart and bikes and enjoyed riding those. The upstairs was great for all the younger women.

We had a wonderful time and the real escapes staff was beyond excellent! The house was so clean and nice. Thanks!

For the second year in a row, I brought my son and some of his friends to the GA/FL game and we loved our stay at Harbor Light both years. It is a 5 min walk to the beach, convenient to come and go as needed. The house has plenty of space, towels, kitchen supplies and amenities. The best is that it is clean! Thankyou so much for the great memories.

Our stay at Harbor Light was nothing but a complete joy. To be able to stay in a older home on the island was GREAT. With all the newer upscale units on the island, it is very refreshing to me to be able to stay in a home that was constructed back in a simpler time but has been upgraded to include all the items required to make one very comfortable and to be able to carry on with life as we now need to (WiFi). With the beach only a walk away it gives one time enough to see some wildlife and enjoy a stroll. Overall out stay gets a 10!

Perfect description from website. House was clean and all appliances worked. We couldn't get the DVD to work and Real Escapes Properties came and helped us. Good service. Yes, I would recommend Real Escape.

This was a great place to stay. We enjoyed our time. It is three blocks from the public beach access and about 1.5 miles to downtown area. Beds were comfortable, nice selection of kitchen utensils, lots of seating. We enjoyed it.

We wanted one house the would accommodate our entire group of first cousins and Harbor Light worked perfectly. It was a great location, although parking was a little tricky!

This place was adorable! We already booked it again for next year.

We had a short trip to the island and were luckily able to get this place sort of last minute. The house is very spacious, comfortable, clean and conveniently located. We were only a half block to a beach access. The house has all we needed from beach towels to appliances to dishes to an assortment of games, cards, and books. A great house and we'll definitely try to get it again next time we go to SSI
